Biomass Energy is derived from organic materials such as Leaves, Stems, Recycled wood or from animal mass resulting from the consumption of plant material.
Biomass Energy is a renewable energy source however it does not reduce the amount of greenhouse gases produced. It can be found as a solid biofuel (firewood) or liquid biofuel (ethanol produced from sugar beet, for example, that can be used as a vehicle fuel).
